In June 2023, the government of Brazil launched the 2023/2024 Agricultural and Livestock Plan approving different measures to support farmers. The annual budget for the 2023/2024 Plan was increased from BRL 340.9 billion (USD 70.4 billion) to BRL 364.2 (USD 75.2 billion).
