In September 2024, the government of Brazil adopted Law No. 14.968 establishing the new Brazil Semiconductor Programme (Brazil Semicon in Portuguese), modified the Support Programme to the Technological Development of the Semiconductor Industry (PADIS in Portuguese) and the industrial policy concerning the information and communication technology sector.
