Green Goods Subsidies

This Thread tracks domestic subsidies affecting HS codes for electric vehicles, PV cells, wind turbines, hydrogen, air pollution equipment, and wastewater management equipment. To identify relevant policy actions, the Global Trade Alert team focused on the identification of relevant intervention types and HS codes. For intervention types, it focused on capital injections and equity stakes, state loans, financial grants, in-kind grants, production subsidies, interest payment subsidies, tax or social insurance relief, import incentives, state aid not elsewhere specified, price stabilization, and state aid unspecified. Regarding the relevant HS codes, it uses the products listed in “The Stringency of Environmental Regulations and Trade in Environmental Goods”, Sauvage, J., OECD Trade and Environment Working Papers, No. 2014/03, OECD Publishing, Paris.
