The Government of Brazil launched the 2012/2013 Agricultural and Livestock Plan allocating credits lines with lower interest rates than those set at the market to farmers.
In this edition, the total budget for allocated to credit lines for rural producers was BRL 115.2 billion (USD 55.5 billion). In comparison with the 2011/2012 plan, the budget for these credit lines has increased by 7.4% in terms of the local currency.
