In September 2025, the government of Russia introduced a temporary ban on exports of diesel fuel, marine fuel, and other gas oils valid from 1 October to 31 December 2025. In December 2025, the export ban was extended until 28 February 2026. In January 2026, the export ban was extended until 31 July 2026.
