In December 2022, the Russian government announced the allocation of over RUB 5.1 billion (USD 82.2 million) to a state aid scheme subsidising the purchase of localised cars by natural persons in 2023. It constitutes a two-times decrease compared to the total regular budget of this state aid scheme in 2022, which was over RUB 10.28 billion (USD 164.28 million).
