In March 2024, the United States initiated an anti-subsidy investigation on imports of melamine from Germany, India, Qatar, and Trinidad and Tobago. In January 2025, a definitive duty was imposed on imports from Germany, Qatar, and Trinidad and Tobago. In April 2025, a definitive duty was imposed.
