In February 2024, the EU adopted additional sanctions in the context of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The package includes extended export bans and stronger export restrictions for firms located in Russia as well as India, Sri Lanka, China, Hong Kong, Serbia, Kazakhstan, Thailand, and Türkiye.
