In December 2008, the European Commission imposed a new definitive duty on imports of welded tubes and pipes from Belarus, China and Russia as well as extended the definitive duty on imports from Thailand and Ukraine. In December 2013, a sunset review was initiated and the definitive duty was extended for a new period on imports of the subject good from Belarus, China and Russia. The definitive duty imposed on imports from Thailand and Ukraine was terminated. In January 2020, a sunset review was initiated and the definitive duty was extended for a new period in April 2021.
