In September 2023, the EU adopted a Regulation establishing the Chips Joint Undertaking under the Horizon Europe programme approved in May 2021 (see related state act). The new initiative replaces and increases the budget of the Key Digital Technologies Joint Undertaking (KDT JU) established in November 2021 (see related state act).
