In April 2022, the Japanese Cabinet Office Home announced the "Comprehensive Emergency Measures for Soaring Crude Oil and Commodity Prices during the COVID-19 crisis" package (コロナ禍における「原油価格・物価高騰等総合緊急対策」 in Japanese). The package sets out a series of economic measures in the context of soaring prices, the Russian invasion of Ukraine and the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
