In October 2022, the Swiss Federal Council announced additional sanctions against Russia in the context of its invasion of Ukraine. The measures include a geographical extension of the trade restrictions to the non-government-controlled Kherson and Zaporizhzhia oblasts as well as capital control and financial restrictions on 7 Russian entities, 6 of them companies.
