On 4 August 2021, the European Commission approved an amendment of the state aid scheme (see related state act) consisting of tax exemptions and financial grants that are aimed at supporting various industries (tourism, retail, etc) that were deemed to be particularly affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. This modification increases the budget of two of the scheme's measures without amending the other two sub-measures.
