On 21 June 2021, the European Commission approved an amendment of state aid scheme consisting of tax exemptions and financial grants aimed at supporting various industries (tourism, retail, etc) that are deemed to be particularly affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. This budget increase will allow almost 2 million Polish undertakings (compared to the initial estimate of 890 000) to benefit from the scheme.
