In November 2020, the European Commission approved "Programa APOIAR", a EUR 750 million state aid grant programme (approx. USD 897.2 million) aimed to support Portuguese SMEs active in specific sectors. It comprises of two different schemes, namely, “Apoiar.PT” and “Apoiar Restauração”.
