In July 2020, the Italian government exercised its golden powers over the acquisition of MolMed S.p.A by AGC Inc., a global Japanese manufacturer. Pursuant to the FDI screening regime in force (see related state act), the Council of Ministers imposed specific requirements to authorise the takeover bid.
