Germany: Introduction of export ban on certain personal protective equipment including protective masks, gloves and garments in response to COVID-19 and subsequent termination

On 4 March 2020, the German authorities imposed an export ban on certain personal protective equipment due to anticipated shortages in the country following the COVID-19 outbreak. Such goods include protective safety glasses, masks, gloves and garments as well as face shields and protective spectacles or visors.
