The Government of Brazil has launched the 2019/2020 Agricultural and Livestock Plan allocating credits lines to farmers with lower interest rates than those set at the market. The total budget for the 2019/2020 Plan is BRL 225.59 billion (over USD 58.5 billion at the time the announcement was made). In comparison with the 2018/2019 Plan, the total budget has increased by over 15.6% (please, see related state act).
The new resources will be available for the period lasting between 1 July 2019 and 30 June 2020.
