On 2 April 2019, the World Trade Organization issued the Republic of Korea's notification to the WTO's Council for Trade in Goods of its the proposed suspension of concessions and other obligations referred to in paragraph 2 of Article 8 of the agreement on Safeguards towards the European Union.
