In August 2026, the Egyptian government issued Ministerial Decision No. 340 of 2026, repealing Decisions No. 190, 203, and 258 of 2026, which had imposed export duties on nitrogenous fertilisers, thereby eliminating the 10% ad valorem export duty on all nitrogenous fertiliser exports effective 1 August 2026.
