In March 2026, the Japan Bank for International Cooperation signed a USD 2.4 billion loan agreement with Mitsubishi Corporation to provide the funds necessary to acquire Aethon III LLC, Aethon United LP, and related companies that are involved in the development, production, and sale of natural gas in the United States.
