In January 2026, the Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board of India announced a tender for the construction of an IT park at Kannur, which incorporates provisions of the Public Procurement Policy (Preference to Make in India), 2017, by requiring minimum local content and providing a preference margin for domestic suppliers.
