In December 2025, the International Trade Administration Commission of South Africa initiated an anti-dumping investigation on imports of flat-rolled products of iron or non-alloy steel, of a width of 600 mm or more, clad, plated or coated, painted, varnished or coated with plastics from China. The investigation is still in progress.
