In October 2025, the government of Vietnam announced its commitments under the "Framework for an Agreement on Reciprocal, Fair, and Balanced Trade" with the US, including the provision of preferential market access for US industrial and agricultural goods, addressing import licenses for US medical devices, and purchasing US agricultural goods and aircraft.
