In March 2025, the Indian government approved the Electronics Component Manufacturing Scheme to enhance the electronics supply chain. The scheme, announced by the Union Cabinet, offers funding of INR 22'919 crore (USD 2.65 billion).
On 8 April 2025, the scheme was notified.
