In March 2025, the Board of Investment of Thailand (BOI) approved an FDI proposal for the investment of THB 1 billion (USD 29.72 million) by Sunwoda Electronic Co Ltd to build its manufacturing facilities in Thailand, producing lithium-ion battery cells for EV manufacturers.
