In December 2024, the government of the Russian Federation announced an export tariff quota on sunflower seeds from Zabaykalsky Krai in the volume of 9'300 tonnes with a 6.5% in-quota tariff, while an out-of-quota tariff is 50%. The measure will be in force from 26 December 2024 to 31 August 2025.
