In November 2024, the government of Russia announced a temporary prohibition on exporting waste and scrap of precious metals from December 2024 to May 2025. In May 2025, the measure was extended until 30 November 2025. In November 2025, the measure was extended until 31 May 2026. In May 2026, the measure was extended until 30 November 2026.
