In June 2024, the government of Russia postponed the re-entry of the gasoline export ban into force until 1 August 2024. Since then, the government has prolonged the ban. From 1 January to 28 July 2025, producers of petroleum products were exempt from the ban. From 29 July 2025, the ban applicable to all exporters was reinstated.
