In August 2023, the National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES in Portuguese) and the Brazilian Company of Innovation and Research (FINEP in Portuguese) launched a new innovation programme in line with the new Brazilian industrial policy (see related state act). The programme will allocate loans and financial grants worth BRL 40 billion and BRL 20 billion, respectively.
