In December 2022, the European Union and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) signed a loan guarantee to unlock financing in Bulgaria, Croatia, Czechia, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia.
