Japan: Government announces new economic package in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic (December 2020)

In December 2020, the Japanese Cabinet Office Home announced the "Comprehensive economic measures for peace of mind and hopes to protect the lives and livelihoods of the people" package (国民の命と暮らしを守る安心と希望のための総合経済対策 in Japanese). The package sets out a series of economic, social and health measures as part of the Japanese COVID-19 recovery plan.
