In July 2022, the European Commission approved the reactivation of an Italian loan guarantee scheme originally approved in April 2020 (see related state act). The SACE Guarantee Scheme was reactivated in order to support Italian companies in dealing with the economic uncertainties caused by Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
