In February 2020, the United States initiated an anti-dumping investigation on imports of difluoromethane (R-32) from China. The investigation is still in progress. In August 2020, a provisional duty was imposed. The investigation is still in progress. In March 2021, a definitive duty was imposed. In February 2026, a sunset review was initiated and the definitive duty was extended for a new period in August 2026.
