Italy: Extension of a tax exemption scheme to support the hiring of young people but with reduced support

On 29 December 2021, the Italian authorities notified the European Commission about the extension of a tax relief scheme aimed at supporting companies in hiring young people in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic. The amendment also provides for a budget increase of EUR 618.5 million.
