In December 2019, the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) launched EGP 100 billion subsidized loans to encourage banks to lend private sector. 

Update:

In June 2020, the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) includes SMEs to in the EGP 100 billion initiative to support the private sector.
