On 10 September 2018, the Egyptian Ministry of Trade and Industry added a new item (Copper bars and rods) to the export duty list in Article (1) of Ministerial Decree no. 1157/2017. On 20 December 2019, the export duty level on this item was extended without change until 31 December 2020.
