In December 2016, the Egyptian Ministry of Trade and Industry increased the export duty on some kinds of metal ore and scrap for one year. The export duty for some items was further extended without a change in 2017,2018, and 2019 whilst it was further increased for others in 2017, 2018, and 2019.
