On April 24, 2018, the Brazilian Foreign Trade Council (CAMEX) issued Resolution 27 modifying the List of Exceptions to the Mercosur Common External Tariff (LECET) to increase certain quotas and eliminate certain tariff lines from the list.

CAMEX's Resolution 27 issued on April 24, 2018, increased from 1,350 to 7,200 tonnes the 2% import tariff quota set on cathodes (NCM 7502.10.10). The applicable import duty outside the quota is 6%.
