In November 2011, the European Commission initiated an anti-dumping investigation on imports of aluminium foil in rolls from China. In March 2013, definitive duties were imposed in March 2013. In March 2018, a sunset review was initiated and the definitive duty was extended for a new period in June 2019. In September 2021, the definitive duty was extended to imports from Thailand following to an anti-circumvention investigation. In June 2024, a sunset review was initiated and the definitive duty was extended for a new period in August 2025.
