Sri Lanka: Import levy increased on certain vegetable oils and margarine (June 2016)

The Sri Lankan Minister of Finance increased the Special Commodity Levy (SCL) applicable on imports of certain vegetable oil products, including margarine. Further SCL was introduced on imports of Crude Palm Olein. These levy changes are applicable for a period of 6 months.

The levy on these products was last increased in May 2016.
