In April 2017, the Indian Directorate General of Antidumping & Allied Duties, Ministry of Commerce and Industry initiated an antidumping investigation on imports of saturated fatty alcohols from Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Saudi Arabia. In May 2018, a definitive duty was imposed. In February 2022, a sunset review was initiated. In May 2023, the definitive duty was terminated.
