In July 2015, the government of Mexico initiated an antidumping investigation on imports of steel wire rod from China. In July 2016, a definitive duty was imposed. In July 2021, a sunset review was initiated and the definitive duty was extended for a new period in January 2023. In July 2026, a sunset review was initiated.
