United States of America: U.S. Administration temporarily waives Jones Act shipping restrictions

In March 2026, the U.S. Administration reportedly issued a 60-day waiver of Jones Act shipping restrictions to allow foreign vessels to move goods between US ports and support domestic energy flows amid rising oil and gas prices. In April 2026, the government extended the Jones Act waiver until 16 August 2026.
