In March 2026, the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) announced the availability of political risk insurance and guarantee products. The products support private sector maritime and energy operations, particularly the shipping and transportation of oil and other energy cargoes, in the Middle East during the ongoing conflict with Iran.
