In May 2013, the Canadian authorities initiated an anti-subsidy investigation on imports of certain copper tube from China. In August 2013, a provisional duty was imposed. In December 2013, a definitive duty was imposed. In November 2018, a sunset review was initiated, and the definitive duty was extended for a new period in September 2019. In August 2024, a sunset review was initiated, and the definitive duty was extended for a new period in June 2025.
