In March 2024, the South Korean government released the "Financial Support Expansion Plan for Climate Crisis Response" and the "Green Investment Expansion Plan for Accelerating Transition to Low Carbon System". Together with private entities, the government pledged to jointly invest KRW 452 trillion (USD 337.4 billion) until 2030 to address the climate crisis.
