In December 2022, the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) signed a loan agreement of USD 2'000 million with Sumitomo Mitsui Finance and Leasing Company (SMFL). The loan is for financing part of the funds needed for the acquisition of Goshawk Management Limited (GML) by a subsidiary of SMFL.
