Canada: Extension of definitive anti-subsidy duty on imports of certain concrete reinforcing bar from China, as well as termination of provisional anti-subsidy duty on imports from the Republic of Korea and Türkiye

In June 2014, the Canadian authorities initiated an anti-subsidy investigation on imports of certain concrete reinforcing bar from China, the Republic of Korea and Türkiye. In September 2014, a provisional duty was imposed on imports from China, the Republic of Korea and Türkiye. In December 2014, an investigation and provisional duty on imports from the Republic of Korea and Türkiye were terminated. In January 2015, a definitive duty was imposed on imports from China. In December 2019, a sunset review was initiated on imports from China, and the definitive duty was extended for a new period in October 2020. In July 2025, a sunset review was initiated on imports from China.
