In July 2019, the United States initiated an anti-dumping investigation on imports of certain collated steel staples from China, the Republic of Korea and Chinese Taipei. In July 2019, the investigation was terminated on imports from the Republic of Korea and Chinese Taipei. In January 2020, a provisional duty was imposed on China. In July 2020, a definitive duty was imposed on China. In June 2025, a sunset review was initiated, and the definitive duty was extended for a new period in February 2026.
